Quartet History

The Franchise - began it's formation in 2007.  Lead Eric Bell (Dallas, TX) and tenor Roger Ross (Orlando, FL) teamed up with bass Bryan Ziegler (Madison, WI) and started their search for a baritone.  In January 2009, Paul Gilman (2 time International Quartet Champion - Cincinnati, OH) joined to make it a quartet.  The quartet (known as Lucky Day) competed in the 2009 International contest and finished 21st.  In August 2009, Jay Hawkins (also a 2 time International Quartet Champion - Louisville, KY) joined the group as Bass.  Lucky Day won the Sunshine District Quartet Championship in October 2009.  At the 2010 International Contest, the quartet finished in 18th Place (Semi-Finalist) but once again was looking at a personnel change as Roger Ross decided to leave the quartet due to business committments.  In August 2010, with the addition of Drew Wheaton - Lucky Day - becomes The Franchise and will be a JAD quartet and will be able to rehearse much more frequently and accept additional show bids.  The Franchise is looking forward to many years of singing together, entertaining your audiences and competing in the Barbershop Harmony Society competitions.
